WHAT IS KALTENPLUS?
- Designed and manufactured for controlled cooling of a multitude of products, such as biscuits, chocolates, cereal bars, candies, cakes… as well as products coated with chocolate or other fat or substitute. The cooling tunnel can be located after an oven, a chocolate enrobing machine, or in any process where controlled cooling is required.
- Length of the cooling tunnel to be calculated according to the process. Lengths up to 100 meters.
- Modular design of the cooling tunnel structure, consisting of 2 meter long modules.
- All KALTENPLUSTM cooling tunnels are completely made of AISI3O4L stainless steel.
- Sandwich-type modular coverings, with 40 mm thick polyurethane insulation, and interior and exterior cladding using stainless steel sheeting. Watertight closure by installed perimeter gasket.

- Each modular cover can be easily opened by pulling from both sides, or can be easily removed from the cooling tunnel by simply pulling up. Length of each cover: 1 meter.
- Each cover can be opened independently of the others.
- Conveyor belt, antistatic, food grade, polyurethane in blue, for product transport and efficient heat exchange through it.
- Automatic belt centering system, double, performed at both ends of the cooling tunnel.
- Air cooling system by means of cooling water/glycol. (from 0oC to 10oC inlet temperature).
- Depending on the length of the tunnel, from 1 to 6 cooling zones. In each cooling zone, the cooling air flow rate and cooling air temperature can be adjusted.
- Proprietary software for calculating cooling needs and dimensioning cooling tunnels.
- The control is carried out through a PLC and interacts through a touch screen (HMI), for precise control of all parameters.

- The loading table is the open entrance part of the cooling tunnel, where the product enters it.
- The length of the loading table is adjustable according to each project.
- Completely made of stainless steel.
- This length is usually used for manual handling of the product, or for the possible installation of a zigzag chocolate decorator, automatic grain dispenser, etc.
- The outlet transfer of the cooling tunnel is machined with an 8 mm diameter, which allows proper operation even with very small products. The transfer is also adjustable in length, for a correct fit with the previous machine.
